Quality standards
Editorial Policy
Our goal is simple: publish useful troubleshooting information without overstating what is known.
Accuracy before volume
We do not publish guides simply to target a search phrase. A guide should address a distinct problem, provide concrete value, and use a confidence level supported by its evidence.
- We do not invent outages, statements, sources, experts, or user counts.
- We avoid filler and arbitrary word-count targets.
- We distinguish observation, testing, community evidence, and official information.
- Truthful absence is better than fabricated certainty.
Sources and evaluation
When sources are available, we prefer relevant official support material, service-status information, release notes, direct reliable testing, and corroborated reports. Sources are listed on the guide when they materially support the advice.
A link alone does not make a claim verified. We consider whether the source actually supports the specific behaviour or fix described.
Updates and date labels
Published records when a guide first appeared. Updated changes only when the content meaningfully changes. Last checked records a genuine review of sources or behaviour, even if no edit was needed.
We do not refresh dates automatically to make content look new.
Corrections
Material errors should be corrected promptly and the guide's updated date should change when the correction alters the advice. Correction requests are evaluated against the same sourcing and verification standards used for initial publication.
Automation assistance
Automation may assist with research organisation, monitoring, duplicate checks, drafting, and structured validation. It does not lower the publication standard. Published information is still expected to meet the same sourcing, clarity, and verification rules.
No fictional author profiles or fabricated expertise are used. Where authorship is needed, content is attributed to TechFixSignal Editorial.
Advertising and commercial relationships
Advertising may support the site in the future, but ads do not appear above the Quick Answer and should not determine editorial conclusions. Affiliate relationships, if introduced, should be disclosed where relevant.
