Confidence, made visible

How We Verify Fixes

A troubleshooting step is only as trustworthy as the evidence behind it. Our badges show the current confidence level without promising more than the evidence supports.

The verification levels

Verified

Verified

Confirmed through an authoritative source or direct, reliable testing that matches the described conditions.

Community Confirmed

Community Confirmed

Multiple independent reports support the workaround or behaviour, but authoritative confirmation or repeatable direct testing is not yet available.

Possible Workaround

Possible Workaround

Plausible and reasonably safe to try, but not yet sufficiently confirmed. The guide should explain the uncertainty.

What “verified” does not mean

A verified fix is not a guarantee for every account, device, region, application version, or network. It means the evidence supports the step under the conditions described.

Statuses can move up or down as products change or better information becomes available.

Safe troubleshooting comes first

We prefer reversible checks before destructive actions. Guides should warn readers before steps that could remove drafts, local data, access, or settings. TechFixSignal never asks readers to share passwords or verification codes.

Unverified material

Unverified advice is not presented as authoritative. Guidance remains outside the public library until it has enough support for an appropriate confidence level.
